Stanhopea ruckeri








Five large well arranged fragrant flowers on one inflorescence, with one immature inflorescence; petals and sepals cream overlaid butter yellow centrally, spotted dark burgundy; lip cream, hypochile overlaid butter yellow, opening heart shaped, knee obtuse, epichile finely spotted dark burgundy, column cream, apple green centrally, finely spotted burgundy; substance heavy, texture matte, lip waxy.

Catasetum confusum








Four deciduous pseduobulbs and one developing growth up to 19cm long, 7cm circumference; leaves lanceolate; 19 male flowers randomly arranged; slightly arching 42cm inflorescence emerging from developing growth; sepals and petals green densely spotted burgundy, lip darker green , denticulate, saccate; column green; antennae parallel; species from Brazil; substance medium, texture matte.
