Baptistonia silvana




Baptistonia silvana (V.P.Castro & Campacci) V.P.Castro & Chiron, Richardiana 4: 118 (2004).This name is a synonym.

Accepted Name: Gomesa silvana (V.P.Castro & Campacci) M.W.Chase & N.H.Williams, Ann. Bot. (Oxford) 104: 398 (2009).

Gomesa silvana  ‘Tres Amores’ CHM score 85

Eighty-six flowers on one 49 cm pendent inflorescence; psuedobulbs elongate elllipitical slightly flattened, 2.5 cm wide x 8.5 cm long in clay pot in moss; dorals sepal and petsals ovate, lateral sepals fused, bright yellow, distally red-brown; lip side lobes yellow, medial lobe dark red-brown; substance firm; texture waxy; awarded as Baptistonia silvana. 


Baptistonia silvana, award 20121294, has been confirmed to be Gomesa silvana by SITF (Nov. 2012).
