Dendrobium wentianum confirmed to be Dendrobium chrysopterum




Dendrobium wentianum J.J.Sm., Bull. Dép. Agric. Indes Néerl. 45: 6 (1911).This name is accepted.

Dendrobium wentianum, award 20143048, has been confirmed to be Dendrobium chrysopterum  by SITF (August 2015).

  1. I don't agree with this plant ID. there has long been confusion between D. wentianum and this plant, which should be called D. obtusisepalum or chrysopterum.

    and some characteristics (stems flexuose, strongly recurved mentum, 1 cm long, ovate, leaves) absolutely don't apply to the plant here pictured.
