Maxillaria crytpbulbon determined to be Maxillaria aequiloba







Forty yellow flowers and one bud on 41 inflorescences to 17 cm; plant 27 cm tall by 47 cm diameter, pseudobulbs hidden by dry sheaths, leaves to 2 cm wide by 9 cm long, petioles to 1.6 cm; sepals and petals reverse heavily spotted red; lip yellow, apically red; substance firm; texture matte; recognized for rarity in cultivation and educational value; native to Central and South America.
