Maxillaria ponerantha Rchb.f., Bonplandia (Hannover) 2: 17 (1854). This name is a synonym. Accepted Name: Maxillariella ponerantha (Rchb.f.) M.A.Blanco & Carnevali, Lankesteriana 7: 529 (2007).
