Description: Thirteen spreading flowers and 30 buds on nine branched, 18-cm long inflorescences on three blooming canes on a 180-cm tall plant; leaves lanceolate, 5.5-cm wide, 25-cm long; sepals and petals elliptical, in-rolled laterally, pink suffused darker pink apically; lip tubular, emarginate, margins dentate, white, magenta marginally, callus three keeled, yellow; column white; substance firm; texture waxy; from Departamento Valle de Cauca at 1600 meters.

20141897 Sobralia gloriosa “Ximena’ CHM 80 points
Two flowers, one fell off during judging, and 3 buds on two inflorescences; plant 60 cm tall by 30 cm wide grown in a 15 cm plastic pot; leaves 22cm long by 4 cm wide, plicate, alternating, lanceolate; sepals and petals white, sepals with purple suffusion on reverse; lip white with purple spots confluent on reverse, throat yellow without keels; substance thick; texture matte; plant from Colombia Provisional. 

Sobralia gloriosa, award 20141897, has been confirmed to be Sobralia gloriosa by SITF (May 2014).

This name is accepted.
Sobralia bifora, award 20104879, has been confirmed to be Sobralia gentryi by SITF(Oct 2010) with assistance from Eric Christenson.
